Walls are painted white; floors are a gleaming limestone; bathrooms are appointed with walnut and aqua azure marble; and the stair hall and second-floor loft are delineated by simple horizontal bandings of stainless steel for a feeling that is very urban and chic. On the first floor, the foyer flows into a hallway to the east that leads to the spectacular living room, with a ceiling that soars 20 feet and features an open loft.
